The 2008 F1 season promises to be as exciting and hopefully as spellbinding as the 2007 Championship turned out to be. With the majority of drivers now settled into their race seats for next season, we eagerly await the season opener at Melbourne, Australia on 16th March 2008. Hamilton and Kovalainen, the two second years, taking to the circuits together in their white McLaren overalls. Two drivers who impressed in their rookie seasons last year go head to head for glory and will battle the Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa. How will the McLaren Team handle Ron Dennis' departure which is due to be announced later this week? Will they pull through as the consummate professionals they are, or will the loss of stability prove too much.

Williams will be looking to build on their improving performance during 2007 to mix it with the big boys at the front of the field

Renault will also be hoping that their old/new signing, Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet jnr (another driver debuting at the pinnacle of motorsport this year) will help turn the French team's fortunes around. The two time champion will surely relish the contractual number one status but the rookie will surely have something to say about giving the Spaniard an easy ticket to a championship challenge

BMW will be looking to build on their strong performances in 2007 while we'll also see the debut of the newly renamed Spyker team, Force India, with veteran Giancarlo Fisichella behind the wheel
